His career has included stints on Capitol Hill, on presidential campaigns, in a newsroom, in classrooms, and for a consulting firm. He has authored three books, 60+ op-eds, 1,200+ news articles, and 2,000+ blog posts. Additionally, he has shared insights on CNN, Fox News, and hundreds of radio stations and podcasts. He earned a bachelor's at Davidson College and a master's at the University of Illinois Springfield.
