Enhanced a congressman’s (Bob Clement) brand identity through a communications campaign centered on constituent-centric leadership and organically nurtured Capitol Hill partnerships, contributing to the two best re-election results of his career. Built and leveraged relationships to enact bipartisan legislation and secure authorizations and appropriations, including $29 million for Historically Black Colleges and Universities ($54.6 million in today's dollars). Wrote and edited speeches delivered on the House floor, in hearings, and at news conferences. Wrote thousands of letters to constituents articulating policy and political positions, threading the needle between informative and noncontroversial.
Selected to advise the Cary (North Carolina) Town Council for several years on optimal, achievable marketing and communications strategies impacting business expansion, green spaces, safety, recycling, etc.
Selected to advise the Durham County (North Carolina) Complete Count Committee on methods for improving census response rates, particularly in underrepresented regions.
Selected by the U.S. Consulate in Mumbai, India to deliver a culture-exchange-focused presentation on the varied elements of American comedy.
